EUROHELP was the chosen company for the design and development of the management system of the "Time Budgets" (EPT) survey, prepared by the Basque Statistics Institute (EUSTAT).
The research will be done through two channels:
Creation of a mobile app for the fulfillment of the searches. This app will serve both search management (EPT) and other future research that will be done through mobile apps;
The "Web Channel", using the components developed and standardized by EUSTAT for the development of all web surveys of the Institute.
The statistical operation "Times Budget" has as main objective to know in detail the way people distribute their time during the 24 hours of the day, depending on the day of the week: working days, Friday, Saturday and Sunday.
Knowing how time is distributed over a day and a half, according to the days of the week, how the days of different social groups are, analyzing the variables that affect or explain the different uses of time, are the main interest points of this research. Detect and evaluate gender differences, evaluate unpaid work, whether at home or abroad, are also among the objectives of the study.
The aim is to provide a response to the need to provide the interviewer a tool that facilitates questionnaires using a smartphone to increase the accuracy of the inserted data so that they can be inserted immediately after the actions taken, reducing the possibility of forgetting or making mistakes.
Some of the advantages of using the App are:
It's easier to complete the searches so you can run them anywhere. The use of smartphones is massive.
Use of tools commonly used in the daily activity of the citizen.
Higher visibility and diffusion of the EUSTAT brand.
