The WeLive project funded by the European Union within the H2020 program, was born to revolutionize the current approach of Technological Government by facilitating the design, implementation and deployment of public services, relying on the collaboration between Public Administrations, citizens, companies, entrepreneurs and other social agents.
Its objective is to transform the e-Goverment concept into a collaborative model.
With a common space with Marketplace of applications that will adapt to the needs of each city/ territory, with a focus of Open Innovation, Open Data and Open Services that generates new services, economic growth and employment.
EUROHELP is part of the WeLive project consortium that is being carried out in Bilbao, and in the cities of Novi Sad (Serbia), Trento (Italy) and Helsinki (Finland).
In addition to the project's own developments and conclusions, dissemination and promotion of the values they pursue are being carried out.
Thus, on September 25, at the University of Deusto, the Hackathon WeLive Bilbao was launched to create new solutions in the form of mobile and/ or web applications, in order to face the economic and social challenges in Bilbao.
The event consisted of an initial presentation of the WeLive platform and the announcement of the "Hackathon WeLive: Co-creation of Urban Apps" contest. This contest, which has a distribution of € 8,000 in prizes, will consist of the creation and presentation of applications (in groups of 1 to 4 people) using the WeLive development platform.
The deadline to submit applications to the contest is extended until November 24. The aim of this contest is, above all, to promote the fundamental idea of the project: the co-creation of applications among the Public Administration, citizens, companies and entrepreneurs.
The event ended with a networking space where members of the WeLive development consortium solved doubts about both the WeLive project itself and the contest, and finally analyzed several proposals for ideas for the creation of applications through the WeLive platform, candidates to participate in the competition.
